The north coast of Antrim has some of the most spectecular scenary to in the whole of Ireland, the Giants Causeway and Dunluce Castle

The coastal scenery adjacent to the causeway is some of the most beautiful and awe inspiring that you are likely to find anywhere. The majestic cliffs and inaccessible bays combine with myth and legend to inspire, but look carefully amongst this breathtaking landscape and you will find echoes of another reality, isolated ruins, kelp walls and  shoreline fields bear testament to the harder life of subsistence farming and fishing endured by past generations. Dotted around the coast you'll find small sheltered harbours and slipways, fishermen's cottages and rock formations that you will never forget.

The castle is open all year round - opening hours vary according to the time of year. Guided tours are also available if booked in advance. When closed you can still walk down a long series of steps, past the wishing well and the mermaid's cave, to the stone arch with views to the Skerries and Inishowen, Donegal.

The ruins of St.Cuthbert's lies a short walk away from the castle grounds - on the small road opposite the Portrush entrance to the castle. Please Note: The path down to the Arch and Mermaid's Cave is now closed.
